Education That Pays For Itself

For the last 10 years Teach A Man To Fish has organised the annual ‘Education That Pays For Itself’ conference with support from The Saville Foundation and Fundacion Paraguaya. The conference represents a belief in the power of entrepreneurship and the next generation. It represents a passion for creating a better world where young people are job creators... not job seekers.

With millions of beneficiaries year on year, enterprise education programmes globally represent a new era in how we prepare young people for the future. Our participants include educators, policymakers, business people, philanthropists, social entrepreneurs and NGOs from around the world, all sharing their ideas and knowledge on transforming young people from job seekers into job creators through educational and profitable school businesses.

Durban Conference 2016

The fantastic Education That Pay's for Itself conference was most recently held in Durban from 30th November to 2nd December 2016. Held at LIV Village- the conference brought together over 200 delegates over the course of the three days-including educators, development practitioners, academics, business people, international institutions, and donors – in the tenth international event dedicated to the rapidly-advancing field of financially sustainable education.

Many thanks to everyone who helped to organise and attended this year conference!

Our conferences represent a unique opportunity to be part of community that is transforming education in developing countries by integrating entrepreneurship and financial sustainability into the fabric of schools. The events are also a chance to discover how new and innovative models are tackling key challenges in education across the developing world.

The Education That Pays for Itself Conference was a huge adventure for me! The conference was fantastic and as the Top Global winners they totally involved me in all the activities, I even did some presentations
