Financial information

Teach A Man To Fish is a registered charity (No. 1112699) and private limited company (No. 5533946) with 8 active board members.

In the financial year ending April 2012, our revenues amounted to £290,550. Our expenditure on generating funds was £5,159 and our charitable activities expenditure was £306,043. The largest part of the incoming funds were grants from foundations in support of our project work in Nicaragua, the School Enterprise Challenge and the Pan-African Awards.

Our spending during the year encompasses a wide range of activities from directly supporting schools to establish educational income-generating projects, to initiatives designed to share knowledge and build awareness such as our 'Education That Pays For Itself' annual conference series.

Teach A Man To Fish continues to keep its overheads low as reflected in the modest non-project expenditure. This low cost-base ensures that Teach A Man To Fish is highly efficient at allocating funds to projects on the ground.
