Help us - to support them - to help themselves!

It's incredible what impact your money can have - we couldn't deliver our services without you. Please donate now and make a real difference to the lives of students in developing countries. Thank you for your generosity.

What can your donation achieve?

  • £25 could support one child to participate in planning, setting up and managing a school business over a year. Through participation this young person will gain valuable business and life skills. Typically, each school business involves around 20 students per year and one teacher and provides an ongoing source of income for the school. Profits are used to improve school resources and to support the poorest students to stay in school.
  • £50 could pay for teachers from one low-resourced and marginalised school to participate in a Teach A Man to Fish training workshop. Workshops provide face-to-face training on how to use our suite of resources to work with a student team to plan a profitable school business and to sett up and run a fully-functioning business. The training benefits both current and future students through building the capacity, knowledge and skills of the teachers. The low-resourced schools with which we work typically have around 250-300 students.

As a small organisation Teach A Man To Fish has minimal administrative costs - all of which means more of your money goes to where it's needed!

Gift Aid

The Gift Aid scheme is for gifts of money by individuals who pay UK tax.

Adding Gift Aid to your donations means charities can benefit even more from your gifts at absolutely no extra cost to you.

If you're a UK taxpayer, your donations can gain an extra 25p for every £1 you give. The Gift Aid scheme allows charities to claim the basic rate of tax you have paid on any donation you make.

Higher rate tax payers can claim additional tax benefits for donations they make to charity, which you can keep or pass on to any charitable organisation. Simply indicate how much you have donated when completing your tax self-assessment form.

For more information on Gift Aid please see http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/individuals/giving/gift-aid.htm

In order for us to be able to claim Gift Aid on your donation please fill in and return this short form.
